RPG Metanoia is the first Philippine-made 3D Animated Movie. And it will open on Christmas Day as part of the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). It is the story of Nico, a young online gamer, his friends, and their challenge to prevent the unknown opponent in its attempt to seize the world of Metanoia and our world. Featuring the voices of Aga Muhlach, Eugene Domingo, Vhong Navarro, Mika dela Cruz and child actor Zaijan Jaranilla, this film deserves the support of moviegoers because it is definitely a solid step forward in the local film industry. Filipino animators are known globally as some of the worlds best (just check the ones working for Pixar and Dreamworks SKG). RPG Metanoia is an upcoming Filipino computer-animated adventure film produced by Ambient Media, Thaumatrope Animation and ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc. Star Cinema. It is the first full length Philippine animated film presented in 3D. It is an official entry to the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Plot
Nico's (Zaijan Jaranilla) hundrum daily existence simply cannot compete with the fantasy life he leads in the world's most popular MMORPG METANOIA, as the swashbuckling vagabond Zero, together with his friends: the spiritist Mang Ernie (Vhong Navarro), renegade chi-master K'mao, apprentice weapon-smith Sumpak, folk hero Ahdonis and the beast master Cassandra (Mika Dela Cruz), they explore Metanoia's vast virtual landscape in search of untold on-line fortune and glory!

When a malevolent force surfaces and threatens to consume everything they hold dear, the fate of two worlds fall upon the shoulder of one very unlikely champion. One who must first find way to burst out of his shell and discover the true hero within-before it's too late!

Production
RPG took 4 years to make. Thaumatrope Animation has been working on it since 2007. In 2008, a teaser trailer for then "theRPGmovie" was shown at Level Up's Ragnarok Online event at the World Trade Center. In August 2009, Ambientmedia officially partnered with ABS-CBN. In June 2010, it was announced to be an official entry for the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival. In August 2010, RPG Metanoia's official website was launched.
